Tips for Recruiters

View the Article: http://www.recruitersite.co.uk/news/essentialtipsforrecruiters-100.htm

Here we have 10 quick snippets that every recruiter should check up on to help them be successful

1.Structure! Keep to a few simple Recruiting disciplines every day is a few simple disciplines practiced every day.

2.Be Flexible. It is a good trait in recruitment to be able to drop what you are doing and start a different task (When required). Being able to react to incoming calls is essential, remember we operate in a people business, and there is nothing more complex (in my opinion) than dealing with queries effectively from both clients and candidates.

3.If unsure ASK! Nobody knows everything (they might think they do), it's much better to ask clients and candidates to clarify something rather than assume (assumption is the basis of all mess ups) by doing this you will learn something every day and make you more confident in your approach when you need to follow things up.

4.Become friends with the candidate (Think Referrals). The better you know your candidate the more effective you will be in putting square pegs into square holes. Some recruitment assignments will be candidate driven, so if they don't get the job they might know some that will and if they feel you have been totally professional in helping them they are far more likely to help you!!

5.Make the phone your friend. With the advent of new technology far too many recruiters rely on emails, be effective with your time, PICK UP THE PHONE AND TALK TO PEOPLE, we are in a numbers game the more clients and candidates you speak to the more success you'll enjoy.. SIMPLE .

6.Stay up with the times. It is essential to be fully aware of the benefits of social media sites (LinkedIn, twitter, face book) a competent recruiter should be able to use this medium to search, source and recruit, make sure you have an effective recruitment strategy.

Plan your day! Use a To-Do list, each day will be different whether is sourcing candidates, generating new business or arranging interviews, make sure you are able to prioritise whets important TODAY!

7.Target your activity! (I don't mean stressing over this week's / months sales figures) manage your day, when you've made a number of sales calls grab a coffee, when you've arranged interviews go for a 5 minute walk (you get my drift)etc.

8.Patience is a virtue! Not everyone works to the same timescale, (going back to being flexible) having hissy fits if things are delayed or cancelled doesn't make things happen any quicker (except the onset of stress) remember be patient and professional.

9.Train to gain! Excellent recruiters don't wait for their employer to arrange the annual training seminar, the internet has an immense amount of free information available to you anytime, sharpen your sword YOU'RE WORTH IT!!

Low Cost Recruitment

Low cost recruitment is now a real option to companies of all sizes. More and more corporate clients are trying out the low cost recruitment services that an increasing number of online recruitment companies are now offering as an extra service to the more traditional recruitment techniques.

The Traditional recruitment method of charging a percentage of the yearly salary to find suitable candidates for clients is being increasingly challenged by the low cost recruitment method or what is more commonly known as flat fee or fixed fee recruitment. The Low cost recruitment pricing structure works as a viable and cheaper alternative in filling vacancies of all types for one fixed cost rather than the traditional scalable yearly salary / percentage method.

The low cost recruitment process is quite straight forward. It involves the low cost recruitment company taking full details of what the client is looking for in terms of job specification, salary, location and number of candidates required. The low cost recruitment agent will then charge a one off fee to generate and source a number of candidates CV's that match the specification laid down by the client. The client can then take over the process in-house to interview and then finally short list and hire from the candidates the low cost recruitment agent has provided.

Low cost recruitment companies have access to the major online job boards and job sites and the more established low cost recruitment agencies also have access to CV data bases to assist in sourcing the right type of candidates for their clients. This ensures that the client's vacancies get maximum exposure across online recruitment media.

An increasing number of candidates search online job boards for vacancies, clients that use the low cost recruitment method can be assured their vacancies will nearly always get applications.

Many low cost recruitment companies are now offering guarantees to clients that if the advertising campaign doesn't attract the required number of candidates they will re advertise the campaign at no additional cost.

Companies that use this low cost recruitment method can also benefit from the additional services that low cost recruiters now offer such job advertisement copy writing. This allows the client to easily outsource the job advert writing task to the low cost recruitment agency, saving the HR department time, this task ensures the job specification is correctly optimised by the low cost recruitment agency to give the job advert prime positioning in search results on the job boards, which ultimately means any job seeker traffic will see their job advertisement first and gives the client a much better chance of securing the right candidate quicker.

Many low cost recruitment agencies use multipost advertising platforms such as recruitersite which reduces the time and cost to post jobs onto to the major job boards which means they can pass this cost saving onto their clients making the whole process a win- win.

With recruitment budgets being squeezed the low cost recruitment method is becoming an increasingly popular route because companies know the exact cost of the recruitment campaigns upfront and unlike traditional recruitment methods there is no extra charge for multiple hires which makes the low cost recruitment method extremely cost effective as well.

If the low cost recruitment method is something you are looking to try or if you want more information on the ways that recruiting using recruitersite can help your company with its recruitment campaigns then feel free to give us a call on 0845 604

Think Recruiting..Think Flat Fee

View the Article: http://www.recruitersite.co.uk/news/thinkrecruitingthinkflatfee-81.htm

Flat fee or Fixed Fee recruitment models are now more widely accepted as a method of recruiting candidates the world over. A large number of corporate companies are discovering this method and its advantages that it offers over the more traditional recruitment techniques.
The company pays a recruiter that offers this type of service to full fill their recruitment needs. The major benefits companies are realising is the low cost this method has appose to the more traditional models, the reason for this is Flat fee / fixed fee recruitment packages omit the additional cost recruitment agencies charge for services such as pre screening, interview arranging and acceptance negotiations.
Al though there are additional 'add on' services that can be utilised as part of the flat fee / fixed fee model, the one that is most widely used is the basic advertising model . This type of fixed fee model includes advertising to a selection of the major most candidate trafficked job boards for up to 1 month. The flat fee 'fee' is charged before the advertising assignment starts and some recruiters offer guarantees that if a required number of CV's aren't produced or the vacancy isn't filled they will re-advertise the position.
For companies looking to get a more enhanced service there are options to have the response 'sifted' by consultants to give companies the best selection of CV's that have been received. (please note that this type of service requires the input from a recruitment consultant and will cost considerably more than the basic fixed fee advertising service). This is the point where the internal HR department takes over to shortlist candidates from the CV's received and arrange interviews.
Flat fee / Fixed Fee recruitment is quickly gaining popularity quite simply because it is considered the most cost effective way to attract talent from the available talent pool of active jobseekers. Flat fee / Fixed Fee recruitment is a new type of recruitment method companies use to generate candidate traffic to vacancies. The best flat fee /fixed fee models include job board postings to generic, niche and geographical job boards and must include at least 3 of the major job boards. And the enhanced fixed fee / flat fee service retains the service of a recruiter to manually sift candidates filtering the wheat from the chafe.
Some Flat fee / fixed fee recruitment companies are now using advanced recruiting platforms such as recruitersite the 'all in one job post' that has applicant tracking systems and multipost included, which makes the service even more cost effective and easier to cost out to clients.
Flat fee / fixed fee recruitment along with recruitersite is an excellent match for recruiters due to its transparent recruitment model from start to finish and is quickly becoming the preferred recruitment process by employers the world over.
